Why Truth is Important in Family

I believe truth is paramount in matters of family. If true coming together is the goal, then truth needs to take center stage. Air it out and speak your truth to whomever has wronged you. Forgiveness is key to healing the fracture. We know the truth is tough. It can hit like  a hammer, but in the process maybe the fence is torn down. I am just as guilty when it comes to not letting the truth have its day. I try, but like all of us I fall short of my goal. As the definition states be sincere in your action and utterance of the truth. It will lead to tough conversations and bruised feelings but hopefully the end result is healing.

Death: The End Game

Before death arrives at the door with his scythe is hand, I want you to understand why time is precious . Its a non renewable commodity. We must try to make things right before going home to our savior in heaven. It won’t be easy but in the end it’s worth the effort. I encourage all to be good to each other. In the days of social media and smart phones it’s easy to forget how important a phone call or even a visit can be. The holiday season really has me thinking about family. Especially my deceased mother and her three late sisters. No matter what issues were between them they remained close siblings I listen to Blues when I want to remember them and think about how wonderful they all were. This season I say reach out and  wish someone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope to be better myself when it comes to reaching out to my family.

This post is a continuation of my previous post about family

    1. No the truth often doesn’t receive the day it deserves. It’s often twisted and morphed into something that leaves truth unrecognizable.
